Real experience
*Lobster bisque (appetizer special) – very good; creamy, buttery; got a few small chunks of lobster meat
*PMF Burger (Wagyu Beef, Gruyère, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, house made sauce on sesame brioche bun) with French fries – really good; patty was juicy; vegetables were fresh/nice crunch; fries were crispy
*Complimentary bread & butter – sourdough esque
*Paper Plane cocktail (Yellowstone Bourbon, Aperol, Lemon, Amaro Nonino) – Good; sweet

Lovely restaurant with a nice back garden. Good selection of wine. The steak was cooked well. So were the fries. We tried both the original and the truffle fries and they were both good but I preferred the texture of the truffle ones better. Burger was good too. Tried bone marrow and the crab salad for appetizers. The crab salad smelled like canned tuna for some reason?! But it was good. Profiteroles were really good.

Any place I come back for a second time means it’s worth my time. Beautiful calming atmosphere. good food. Last time I was here I had the best French Toast I’ve ever had in my life. This time it was all but mediocre unfortunately. Everything was fine, nothing wrong – just not exceptional; hence, the 4 stars. Thank you for having us.
Great spot for brunch, waitstaff are super friendly and speed of food & service is excellent! The Turkish eggs are to die for, generous portions and mimosas/bloody marys were flowing without needing to ask. What more could you want for a Sunday brunch. I would definitely advise pre-booking to guarantee a table, those without a reservation had a long wait time.

This place definitely has a vibe. Located in the East Village, it maintains a neighborhood feel. The interior looks good but needs a little touch-up with decor. The French cuisine offers a good variety of different signature French dishes. I recommend the escargot and octopus carpaccio as appetizers. For the entrée, I ordered branzino. It was good, but it had a light fish taste, which I personally don’t like (based on my experience, well-cooked fish usually doesn’t taste too fishy). Meanwhile, the mussels were made great. I’m not a big fan of them, but they are cooked very well at this place. To sum up, it’s recommended for an old-vibe New York dining experience.

Finally a place with real French food and affordable prices! I cannot praise the cuisine highly enough. I have formal training and professional experience in cooking French food, so I hope my opinion counts for something. We had a three-course meal for three people and honestly every single thing we had was stellar. The service was perfect, and we felt so welcomed by the entire staff.
Honestly I can’t wait to go back. My only nitpick would be that the lights were so low that we had to use our cell phones to see the food, and I didn’t think the music l soundtrack lived up to the elegance of the food. Otherwise it was the most perfect dining experience I could imagine.
finally
This is an absolutely phenomenal reasonably priced (by NYC standards) bistro. Entrees (the steak and sea bream with vegetables) were cooked to perfection and very flavorful; drinks were great too. The service is very attentive, yet the food takes a while to arrive, so plant your evening accordingly. We’ll definitely be back to try moules frites (they looked delicious) and the duck.
